Christmas Cookies: My search for the perfect recipe

As the holiday baking season comes to and end I am thrilled to say that I finally have come close to making cookies that look almost as good as these

 I am still perfecting my baking skills (one more semester to go!!!) my cut out cookies would always  end up looking like this looking like these.

Not hideous but not quite right

 

After much trial and error I finally found a recipe that works for me. Its from one of my favorite cookie bloggers The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle you can find it here

So this year I am so excited because here are the cookies I made for my son's classroom this year. They also received my seven year old's stamp of approval. He said they looked cool!!!!

Hope everyone had a blessed holiday season. The best thing about starting a new year is new opportunity to work towards your dreams. 2013 is the beginning of my placing priority on my dreams.   I have some big things planned for me in 2013...NO resolutions for me just going to make sure I make this year better than the last. Maybe go back to school to become a pastry chef, planning a few parties and getting that much closer to achieving my goals.  What ever your goals for this year are just take slow, small steps equal big change. I wish you much success in whatever it is you want this year.
